Effective machine

I got the bike and put it together by myself relatively easily. The cup holders/weight holders were a little on the challenging side to get on. I did use my own pedal wrench which was easier to maneuver than the one included. I've had it for a few months now. These are my observations: it's smooth..., pretty quiet- there's a ting sound going on which I can't figure out what it is, but it's not loud, I like that I can adjust the resistance easily and see a level that corresponds with the adjustments, I can see my heart rate on the computer, but I'm not a fan of the arm band heart monitor- I wish there had been an option for a chest band monitor, I don't care about speed or distance so I think those take up space visually on the computer, the cadence is a gauge format and not a number which is annoying. I need to see a number for cadence/rpm when I'm doing the Peloton app. It would be nice to be able to reconfigure the computer to only use the metrics I need, and it would be nice to be able to calculate an output number. I guess it's nice to see the calories burned, and the timer is good. The construction of the bike: the duo spd/cage pedals are heavy duty and big which I don't understand why an indoor bike would need those, the wheels at the bottom to move the bike around are a hard plastic instead rubber wheels like you find on other indoor bikes. One side is tighter than the other. I think the hard plastic could crack- I wouldn't have chosen that for myself in designing the bike. The levelers at the bottom are also a hard plastic. I hope they don't crack. The cup holders work fine, the weight holders have one side that's harder to fit a weight on so I can't just lay it on there quickly; I have to force it in the space. The fly wheel is and heavy, the magnetic resistance works well. I'm not sure someone who does Peloton or other apps like it had much say in the design. I also had to call & order the full manual. For the price, I'd recommend it.
